Bio

Dr. Ashwin B Parthasarathy is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida. He completed his doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and his postdoctoral research at Boston University and University of Pennsylvania. He has been on the faculty at the University of South Florida since 2016.

Dr. Parthasarathy's research integrates optics, physics, engineering, and computation principles to develop novel imaging/monitoring technology for applications that include bedside diagnoses/monitoring of brain injuries, intraoperative imaging, critical care monitoring, and modeling neurophysiology & neuroprotection.

Dr. Vishnu Kumar Raghu is a postdoctoral associate at the University of South Florida. He completed his doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru, and has a bachelors degree in ELectronics and Telecommunication and a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering. His primary research focus lies in biomedical optics, encompassing spectroscopy, lasers and instrumentation.

Mrinmoy Sarker Turja

Mrinmoy is pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida, where his research focuses on functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) and standalone integrated Diffused Spackle Contrast Spectroscopy (iDSCS). He earned his Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering from Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea. During his Master’s, he worked on developing a wristwatch to monitor hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) and glucose levels noninvasively for diabetic patients.

She is particularly interested in creating portable, non-ionizing technologies for real-time assessment of cerebral blood flow, oxygenation, and metabolism.
