Bio

Dr. Ashwin B Parthasarathy is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida. He completed his doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and has postdoctoral research at Boston University and University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Parthasarathy's research integrates optics, physics, engineering, and computation principles in order to develop novel imaging/monitoring technology for applications that include bedside diagnoses/monitoring of brain injuries, intraoperative imaging, critical care monitoring, and modeling neurophysiology & neuroprotection.

Bio

Sadhu Moka is Masters student in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and has a Master’s degree in “Digital Systems and Computer Electronics” from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. Sadhu’s research interests are optics, speckle contrast imaging, and is currently working on devleoping non-Invasive portable optical devices for monitoring the brain.

Bio

Johnson Kommu is Masters student in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida. Johnson is from Hyderabad, India, and he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad University (AITH) in 2013. Prior to joining USF, he worked at the Amazon Development Center in Hyderabad, India as a business operations specialist. His duties included using a variety of data collection methods for market research and back-end tech teams, and data analysis through working with databases, data warehousing, mining & modeling. Johnson’s research interests include optics, spectroscopy, and wireless communication. He has an avid interest in writing, especially short stories, and is an accomplished soccer player. He loves reading, anime, and travelling.
